RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB is Sweden’s state-owned applied research and technology organization, based around contract research, testing, certification, calibration, and joint development rather than broad grantmaking. It works with companies, public agencies, and research institutions, and the public-facing role is that of a delivery partner and research performer.

The only grant-allocation role surfaced here is ESA Phi-Lab Sweden, a six-year programme that began on 9 April 2025 with a total budget of EUR 5.2 million. The funding is split between Vinnova and the Swedish National Space Board on one side and the European Space Agency on the other, while RISE serves as programme office and allocates research grants.

KTH, the Swedish Institute of Space Physics, and the Swedish Space Corporation are partners. The practical read is a delegated space-tech programme office inside RISE, not an independent grant portfolio, so applicants need to follow the active call rather than expect a wider RISE funding line.
