SRIW — Walloon Regional Investment Company (Société Régionale d'Investissement de Wallonie)
Funds Walloon regional development through investment support for growth initiatives and productive modernization projects.
SRIW, the Société Régionale d'Investissement de Wallonie, is Wallonia's regional investment company and now sits inside the Wallonie Entreprendre financing platform. It is capitalised by the Walloon Region and operates as a corporate-finance arm for companies and strategic industrial projects in Wallonia, not as a grantmaker.
Its toolset is equity, subordinated debt, loans and credit guarantees, with the record pointing to a typical equity range of about €1 million to €25 million. The active investment platform manages about €4.1 billion across equity, debt and guarantee instruments, and the current SRIW Equity line continues as a sub-brand for industrial holdings and larger tickets.
The company is aimed at firms with operations and job creation in Wallonia, especially in sectors such as biotech, medtech, energy, manufacturing and hardware. Deal flow is relationship-driven and rolling rather than call-based, so the right public reading is long-term regional financing support rather than a competitive subsidy programme.
