Techstars is a global pre-seed venture capital firm and mentorship-driven accelerator network. It provides equity investment alongside a 3-month structured program giving founders access to mentors, investors, and alumni. It does not award grants; all capital is exchanged for equity or convertible notes (SAFE).

Founded in 2006 in Boulder, Colorado, Techstars has supported 10,000+ founders and counts 22 unicorn companies in its portfolio as of 2025. The network includes flagship hubs (Boulder, NYC, Boston, SF, London, Tokyo, Sydney, Tel Aviv) and corporate-partnered cohorts. The organisation underwent restructuring in 2024–2025, winding down some city programs and refocusing on flagship and corporate-partnered cohorts.
