AI Startup Challenge 2026: Applied AI and the Future of Business

Awards $40K+ in prizes to graduate-student teams building AI-driven startups.

ClosedColumbia Business SchoolUnited States

Entries submit through StartupTree by the deadline, advance through a pre-selection review and semifinals, and finalists pitch in person at a Grand Final in New York City. Judging covers problem/solution clarity, customer validation, how core AI is to the product, differentiation, and team strength, and the total prize pool is $40K+, though prizes may be subject to US tax withholding.

Looking for teams with at least one graduate student founder from Columbia, Cornell Tech, NYU or Yale building an early-stage startup where AI is core to the product, not a superficial feature. Open to ideas across finance, healthcare, consumer markets or other business challenges, from pre-MVP through post-MVP but before any Seed round.
