Innovative Solutions for Software Challenges (Soluciones Innovadoras para Desafíos de Software)
Funds software firms and public researchers in applied innovation partnerships for health and energy.
Soluciones Innovadoras is a competitive applied-R&D instrument co-administered by Fundación Sadosky and Argentina's Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación. Launched in 2022, the programme pairs Argentine software and IT services companies with research groups from the national science system (SNCyT) to develop collaborative projects in five strategic sectors: health, satellite industry, bioeconomy, energy transition, and software productivity. It is the flagship demand-driven technology-transfer vehicle in Argentina's public IT funding landscape.
The instrument is in-kind, not a cash grant: Sadosky funds three part-time researchers plus one coordinator for a 12-month collaboration; no cash is transferred to the company. The applying company must contribute a development team of at least three people who work alongside the Sadosky-designated researchers throughout the year. Both the company and the public research partner must be registered and operating in Argentina. Projects awarded under the 2022 launch cycle included deep-learning brain volumetry, bioinformatic tools for medicinal cannabis, mixed reality platforms for autism inclusion, AI-driven cardiovascular risk prediction, and autonomous robotic platforms — illustrating the applied-AI orientation of the programme. The 2023 cycle continued this trajectory; as of mid-2026 no new call has been publicly announced, consistent with broader Argentine science-budget constraints.
To compete effectively, applicants should identify a compatible SNCyT research group before submitting, since Sadosky facilitates but does not guarantee the institutional match. The application contact is avt@fundacionsadosky.org.ar, and the programme's dedicated portal is solucionesinnovadoras.fundacionsadosky.org.ar. Given Argentina's fiscal environment, prospective applicants should monitor both the subdomain and official MINCyT communications for confirmation of a future cycle before investing significant proposal effort.
