The MVP Ventures Program is a competitive grant scheme administered by Investment NSW, a division of the New South Wales Premier's Department, providing funding to small businesses commercialising innovative products within the state. The programme runs multiple rounds within each fiscal year against a total pool of up to AUD 3 million per year. Round 3 of FY 2025–26 opened on 9 March 2026 and closed on 10 April 2026; Round 4 dates had not been published at the time of research. Awards range from AUD 20,000 to AUD 75,000 and projects must advance a technology along TRL 3–9, with completion required within three to twelve months of grant activation.

Two funding streams are offered. Stream 1 (Standard) covers up to 50% of eligible project costs to a maximum of AUD 50,000, requiring at least 50% co-contribution from the applicant. Stream 2 (Priority Groups) covers up to 75% of eligible costs to a maximum of AUD 75,000, with a minimum 25% co-contribution, and is open to women-owned or managed businesses, regionally based operations, and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander-owned enterprises. Assessment criteria centre on innovation merit, commercialisation potential, and project deliverability.

Eligibility is limited to for-profit businesses with an active Australian Business Number, a NSW headquarters, fewer than 10 full-time employees, and annual turnover below AUD 400,000. Applicants must hold intellectual property rights in the innovation being commercialised. Universities, non-profit organisations, and publicly funded research organisations are not eligible to apply as lead grantees.
