Sebrae Innovation Call — Inova Startups 5th Edition (Edital Sebrae de Inovação)

Supports SEBRAE's Inova Startups grant programme for Brazilian startups advancing new products and services.

The Edital Sebrae de Inovação — Inova Startups 5ª Edição is SEBRAE's flagship non-reimbursable grant competition for Brazilian startups and small businesses, with the fifth edition announced for 2026. SEBRAE (Serviço Brasileiro de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas) is Brazil's national support service for micro and small enterprises, operating a network of state-level units across all 27 states. The programme awards non-reimbursable grants of up to R$120,000 per selected project from a total pool of approximately R$20 million, with project execution periods of up to 24 months.

Eligibility is restricted to for-profit entities — MEI (Microempreendedor Individual), ME (Microempresa), and EPP (Empresa de Pequeno Porte) — registered in Brazil with innovative products, services, or processes. Universities, nonprofits, and research organisations are not eligible. At least 20 percent of the R$20 million pool is reserved for startups based in Brazil's North, Northeast, and Center-West regions, reflecting a regional equity mandate. Applicants must contribute approximately five percent of project costs as counterpart.

Applications are submitted through the InovAtiva Brasil or Sebrae Startups platform. The 5th edition call dates for 2026 had not been officially published as of the data collection date; applicants should monitor SEBRAE's innovation portal for the official edital release. Past editions of the Inova Startups competition have been oversubscribed, making early preparation — including a clear innovation narrative and financial projections — critical to competitiveness.

Non-reimbursable grants up to R$120,000 for Brazilian startups and small businesses developing innovative products, services, or processes, with priority for underrepresented regions.
