Funds innovation consultancy for Brazilian micro and small businesses through Sebrae's shared cost support model.

Sebraetec is SEBRAE's continuous subsidized technology and innovation consultancy voucher programme, enabling Brazilian micro and small businesses to access accredited specialist consultants at a reduced cost. Under the scheme, SEBRAE subsidizes 70 percent of the qualifying consultancy fee while the business pays the remaining 30 percent, making expert advisory services — covering design, productivity, quality management, intellectual property, digital transformation, and sustainability — financially accessible to smaller enterprises. The programme is available year-round and does not follow an annual call cycle.

Eligible beneficiaries include MEI (Microempreendedor Individual), ME (Microempresa), EPP (Empresa de Pequeno Porte), registered artisans, and qualifying rural producers registered in Brazil. Private-sector for-profit status is required; nonprofits, universities, and research organisations are not eligible. Services are selected from a catalog of certified providers listed on the Loja Hub Sebrae platform, with catalog availability varying by state SEBRAE unit. Sebraetec delivers in-kind assistance — subsidized consultancy access — rather than a direct cash transfer to the business.

To access Sebraetec, eligible businesses should contact their state SEBRAE unit or access the Loja Hub Sebrae online platform to browse available consultancy services and certified providers. Once a service is selected, the business pays its 30 percent share directly to the provider and SEBRAE covers the balance. Because service availability varies by state unit and provider, early engagement with the local SEBRAE office is recommended to understand what consultancy services are currently subsidized in the applicant's region.
