The call funds studies that prepare a Cross-Border Renewable Energy (CB-RES) project for implementation — feasibility, mapping, environmental assessment, front-end engineering, or the legal and regulatory design of a cooperation between Member States, or between a Member State and a third country. Only projects on the CB-RES list set by Delegated Regulation qualify. In justified cases, pilot plants testing technology already at TRL 7-8 can be included if strictly tied to the project.
