CEF Energy wants to pay for the purchase, supply, construction and installation work needed to bring a Project of Common Interest or Project of Mutual Interest into service, covering electricity, smart grid, hydrogen and CO2 infrastructure named on the Second Union list. Projects have to show significant cross-border benefits, such as security of supply or system flexibility, and prove they cannot get built through the market alone.
