The Colorado SBDC TechSource Proposal Assistance Funding program provides cash grants to Colorado science and technology companies to help them engage private consultants and resources for developing Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) proposals. TechSource, launched by the Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in 2017, is a statewide program designed to help innovative Colorado businesses access non-dilutive capital, and Proposal Assistance Funding is its only direct cash grant instrument. The program is co-funded through the SBA's Federal and State Technology (FAST) Partnership Program.

The grant amount and detailed eligibility requirements are not published on the TechSource website; prospective applicants must complete an online intake form at the Colorado SBDC TechSource page to join the waitlist and receive program details. The program operates on a rolling basis with no fixed application deadlines. Acceptance is competitive and managed on an ongoing basis by SBDC program staff. Funded companies may use the award to retain subject-matter experts, proposal writers, or other private resources specifically in support of an SBIR or STTR proposal effort.

Beyond Proposal Assistance Funding, TechSource delivers a suite of no-cost services to Colorado science and technology businesses, including one-on-one confidential advising with subject-matter experts, the annual Tech Venture Accelerator (TVX) ten-week virtual series, the Ascent Workshop Series covering business fundamentals, and an on-demand webinar library. TechSource is open to businesses at any stage, from early concept through growth-stage companies seeking to scale and secure non-dilutive funding. Program inquiries can be directed to the TechSource Senior Program Manager at audrey.miller@bouldersbdc.com.
