The call targets issuers and verifiers of driving licences, funding the swift implementation of EU Mobile Driving Licences as part of the wider European Digital Identity Framework. It builds on existing eID, eSignature and eDelivery technical specifications, and supports the Digital Decade goal of giving all citizens access to digital identification. Funded work should help Member States meet their legal obligation to provide a harmonised Digital Identity Wallet by the end of 2026.
