The Commission wants proofs-of-concept for scalable, cloud-based AI or generative-AI systems that analyse medical imaging in real clinical settings, focused on cancer and cardiovascular disease. Projects must integrate with hospital IT systems such as electronic health records and PACS, run technical and clinical validation across large numbers of patient cases, and generate cost-efficiency evidence for regulators.
