EPIC Prize Round 3 – Phase 1

Awarded $150,000 each to up to 20 incubators supporting U.S. energy startups.

EPIC Round 3 is run by the US Department of Energy's Office of Technology Transitions together with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and it funds incubators, accelerators and co-working communities that build programming for hard-tech energy startups, not the startups themselves. Up to 20 organizations win $150,000 each in Phase 1 for the plan they submit, judged on how creative and impac

Open to incubators, accelerators, co-working startup communities and similar organisations that advocate for innovation and entrepreneurship, with programming aimed at hard-tech energy startups. Private entities must be incorporated in and based in the United States; academic institutions can also compete, but National Laboratories cannot compete themselves (though they may support competing teams).
