The EIT InnoEnergy Skills Institute is a workforce training and talent development arm of EIT InnoEnergy, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology's Knowledge and Innovation Community for sustainable energy. The Skills Institute delivers training, certification, and talent pipeline services for net-zero and clean-technology industry roles across the European Union, operating through sector-specific Net Zero Industry Academies that include the European Battery Alliance (EBA) Academy, the European Solar Academy, and the Green Hydrogen Academy.

As of 2024 the Skills Institute had upskilled more than 100,000 workers across 145+ job roles, in partnership with over 50 industry organisations, and offers 29+ certificates. Its flagship service, Talent Pipeline as a Service (TPaaS), is a flexible end-to-end solution for companies to recruit, train, and certify clean-tech talent. Additional offerings include the Green Talent Accelerator, Community Programmes, and the Open Skills Hub. Training is frequently co-funded through EU instruments including European Social Fund+, Pact for Skills, and Net-Zero Industry Act provisions.

The Skills Institute is not a grant programme from the perspective of an applicant organisation seeking funding. Companies and workers engage it as a training-service buyer or partner, not as grant recipients. Costs are borne by the company, partially offset where EU co-funding instruments apply. Organisations seeking to access training should contact EIT InnoEnergy Skills Institute directly at innoenergy.com/skillsinstitute to discuss TPaaS terms or academy enrolment. This entry covers the Skills Institute as a talent-development resource rather than a fundable opportunity.

Delivers workforce training, certification, and talent pipeline services for clean-tech and net-zero industry roles across the EU through sector academies and the Talent Pipeline as a Service offering.
