SME Fund 2026

Reimburses EU and Ukrainian SMEs for trademark, design, patent, and plant-variety costs.

The SME Fund is a European Commission scheme that the EUIPO implements to help EU and Ukrainian SMEs recover part of the cost of protecting a trade mark, design, patent or plant variety, plus a separate service that scans a business's existing IP position. A business owner, an employee, or an authorised external representative can submit the application, but any reimbursement is transferred direct

The fund wants to help small and medium-sized businesses established in the EU or Ukraine protect trademarks, designs, patents, and plant varieties by covering part of the official filing and search costs. A separate voucher supports EU-based groups filing craft and industrial geographical indications.
