Grand Challenge on Quantum Sensors for Inertial Navigation
Backs quantum navigation systems for use where GPS signals are jammed or denied.
This is Phase 1 of a two-phase, competitive structure backed by Horizon Europe and run jointly with the European Investment Bank. In Phase 1, teams produce a technical and financial roadmap, an evidence-based design and benchmarking package, and an assessment of investor-readiness and supply-chain sovereignty, while EIB advisory services help them prepare a financial viability plan. Projects that …
The call targets teams building quantum-enabled inertial navigation systems for GNSS-denied or contested environments, where GPS-style satellite positioning cannot be relied on. Proposed systems must already be reasonably mature, not early-stage research.
