Developing and validating methodologies, tools and technologies that give civil-protection authorities and decision-makers situational awareness before a climate-related crisis and after one hits — covering floods, wildfires, landslides, heat waves and other climate-induced disasters, including their cascading and compounding effects across sectors. Funded work has to identify and prioritise climate security scenarios for the EU, build on the European Climate Risk Assessment (EUCRA) and national risk assessments, and involve end-user authorities in defining requirements, testing and validation. Activities are expected to reach TRL 7-8 by the end of the project.
