Prevention research and security solutions against terrorism and lone-actor violence in European schools and other confined public spaces — places of worship, public administration offices, and other buildings open to the public. Work has to analyse why and how people become isolated and radicalised in the European context, then turn that into modernised prevention programmes, inclusive staff training, improved police-practitioner cooperation, and affordable security measures for the buildings themselves — combining genuine Social Sciences and Humanities research with technological development. The consortium must include at least 3 Police Authorities and at least 2 Civil Society Organisations or NGOs, from at least 3 different EU Member States or Associated Countries, plus a working mix of IT specialists, psychologists and sociologists, and has to plan a mid-term outcomes assessment carried out by the practitioners themselves.
