An open topic for new or unforeseen civil-security challenges in border surveillance, border checks, customs and supply-chain security, and civilian maritime or aviation border management. Develop and test tools at TRL 4–5 that protect EU citizens and third-country nationals, integrate gender, sex, age, disability, race or ethnicity, sexual orientation and migrant-status perspectives, and plan validation, uptake and follow-on use.
