Digital Autonomy for Space Transportation
Funds two €2–3M projects that bring autonomous flight, digital design and simulation tools to competitive European space transportation.
New space transportation needs to become more autonomous, sustainable and affordable. This topic funds digital technologies that can mature into practical building blocks for launch systems and reusable vehicles.
Projects can work on autonomous flight termination, mission planning, navigation, data fusion and process automation; digital launch-system models using Model-Based Systems Engineering, …
An Innovation Action for disruptive digital technologies that improve autonomy, sustainability and competitiveness in new space transportation solutions. Projects can develop autonomous flight termination and mission-planning algorithms, data fusion and navigation; digital launch-system models, Model-Based Systems Engineering, eco-design and atmospheric-impact simulation; or navigation and data fusion for autonomous reusable landing. Proposals should use existing EU technologies and building blocks, complement prior and ESA activities, involve industry, SMEs, research and academia, and reach TRL 7-8.
