Robotic Building Renovation

Funds three €6.75M innovation projects using on-site robotics to make building renovation and construction faster, safer and more resource-efficient.

ScheduledEuropean CommissionEU

This topic modernises building renovation and construction with robotic and automated techniques deployed on the building site. Projects should improve resource efficiency, designed-versus-as-built accuracy, time spent by professionals on site and greenhouse-gas emissions while delivering at least the same building-element energy performance as current best practice.

At least one technique must i

Innovation demonstrations of flexible on-site robotic and automated techniques for energy renovation of existing buildings and new construction. At least one technique uses 3D printing; projects test at least three building sites across typologies and climates while improving resource efficiency, accuracy, worker safety, delivery time and site emissions, reaching TRL 6-8.
