Air pollution changes across regions, neighbourhoods and streets, and the models used for planning often struggle to connect those scales. This topic funds two projects to make air-quality evidence faster, more detailed and more useful to public authorities and citizens.

Developing an integrated chain of air-quality models that works from regional to street and indoor-emission scales and across seasons and time of day. The work improves model coupling, urban-canopy and vegetation representation, very-high-resolution hotspot assessment, monitoring-network planning, Air Quality Roadmaps and Plans, and guidance for public authorities. Projects start at TRL 2 and are expected to reach TRL 5, with vulnerable populations, FAIR data, air-quality communities and Earth-system services included in the evidence and coordination plan.
