Horizon Organic Farming Data
Funds a €6M coordination action that makes organic-farming data more complete, interoperable and useful from farm to consumer.
Organic farming can provide environmental, climate, biodiversity and ecosystem benefits, but the evidence is uneven and collecting the required data can create a heavy burden for farmers and other operators. This scheduled Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action funds one €6 million project to improve the data chain from organic farms to consumers.

Coordinate an EU-wide improvement in how organic production data is collected, shared and used across crop and livestock systems and organic value chains. Map tools, platforms, methods and data actors from EU, national and local levels; assess cost-effectiveness, best practices, administrative burden and interoperability; evaluate certification-body data for economic, environmental and social sustainability; and issue governance recommendations. The action also exchanges practice, trains organic farmers and operators, builds public-private cooperation and supports reporting under organic certification and the Common Agricultural Policy through a multi-actor approach.
