Eureka France-Corée du Sud
Supports France South Korea collaboration on industrial technology and semiconductors.
Eligibility · France, South Korea
The Eureka France–South Korea 2026 bilateral call invites joint R&D project proposals from consortia pairing at least one French and one Korean company. The initiative is operated in France by Bpifrance and in South Korea by the Korean government's innovation agencies, with each country funding its own laureates independently under national rules. Priority technology sectors are semiconductors, advanced manufacturing (including secondary batteries, mobility, and robotics), and artificial intelligence. Project duration is capped at 36 months. The call opened 13 May 2026 with a submission deadline of 8 July 2026.
For French-side applicants, the financing instrument is a Prêt Innovation R&D (innovation loan) — not a cash grant — from €50,000 to €3,000,000 per project. Eligible applicants on the French side are PMEs and ETIs of up to 2,000 employees, registered in France. Eligible expenditure covers industrial research and experimental development costs only; industrialization and commercialization costs are explicitly excluded. The application process requires two simultaneous submissions: the joint project dossier on the Eureka network platform (eurekanetwork.org) and the French financing request on the Bpifrance en Ligne portal, both by 8 July 2026. Failure to submit both simultaneously disqualifies the application.
Organizations considering this call should note that the French funding is a repayable loan, not a subsidy, which affects financial planning for the project. The French applicant must approach its regional Bpifrance office (Direction régionale) to initiate the loan application in parallel with the international consortium submission. Korean partner identification should begin immediately given the July deadline; Bpifrance contact for international project queries is international.innoproject@bpifrance.fr. French PMEs and ETIs with validated technology in semiconductors, AI, or advanced manufacturing and an existing or potential Korean industrial partner are the primary intended applicants.
Funds bilateral France–South Korea joint R&D projects in semiconductors, advanced manufacturing including batteries and robotics, and artificial intelligence, with French-side financing via Prêt Innovation R&D of 50 k€–3 M€.
