FY26 Reconstructive Transplant Research Program Concept Award

Funds small, high-risk exploratory research into reconstructive transplantation and vascularized composite allotransplantation for wounded Service Members and Veterans.

The award is for highly innovative, untested concepts in reconstructive transplantation, not incremental extensions of existing work. Projects must address at least one FY26 RTRP Focus Area: VCA immunosuppression, biomarkers or tools for monitoring graft rejection, VCA preservation strategies, or new ways to measure VCA outcomes. Clinical trials are not allowed.
