The Commission is looking for research that helps EU institutions, Member States and candidate countries understand the political, social and economic consequences of further EU enlargement, especially around democracy, rule of law and governance. It wants projects to pilot public-engagement and educational tools that build societal awareness of the enlargement process, tested in at least four EU Member States.
