The Commission wants research on how everyday use of digital technologies, including generative AI, affects children's wellbeing and their development of literacy, numeracy and other key skills in primary or secondary compulsory education. It wants projects to also look at how the physical school learning environment supports or hinders these outcomes, and to include children's own voices in the data collection.
