The Commission wants research examining how democratic backsliding, authoritarian governance, armed conflict and geopolitical crises disproportionately affect groups in a vulnerable situation — women, LGBTIQ people, ethnic and religious minorities, people with disabilities, children and the elderly. It wants proposals that combine SSH disciplines with data analytics to map these compounded effects and develop new methodologies, indicators and monitoring tools that policymakers and civil society can actually use.
