OpenEuropean CommissionEU

Crafting routes to a circular economy is a European Commission Research and Innovation Action, funded up to EUR 3.5 million, that funds research showing how culture and creativity can drive Europe's shift to a circular economy through crafts-led innovation, adaptive reuse of heritage buildings, food heritage and gastronomy, or circular design. This is a single-stage action costed as a lump sum, wi

This call wants research that shows how culture and creativity can drive Europe's shift to a circular economy, across one or more of four focus areas: crafts-led innovation, adaptive reuse of heritage buildings, food heritage and gastronomy, or circular design. It is interested in frugal-innovation principles drawn from traditional craft and heritage practice, applied to reduce waste and resource use across sectors such as fashion, construction and tourism. Proposals may combine more than one focus but must build a practical framework or toolkit, not just describe the problem.
