The European Commission wants proposals on one of two paths: tools that improve disaster preparedness and risk awareness among citizens and regional or local authorities, or mechanisms that get research and academic knowledge into the hands of practitioners and local government faster. Work should support the EU Preparedness Union Strategy and draw on the Commission's own Eurobarometer survey on disaster risk awareness.
