International cooperation in semiconductors

Pays one coordination project to map semiconductor cooperation opportunities with countries such as Japan, Korea and the United States for the Commission.

ClosedEuropean CommissionEU

A single CSA consortium runs this advisory and mapping work under a security-screening condition tied to the protection of European communication networks, alongside the usual admissibility rules. Its job is to map supply chains, industrial strengths and gaps in semiconductor countries outside the EU including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, the United States, Canada and India, spot emergin…

The Commission wants a Coordination and Support Action that advises it and the Member States on joint semiconductor and photonics research with leading countries outside the EU. The action should map foreign supply chains and industrial strengths, flag emerging technologies worth joint work, and assess risks to the EU's access to leading-edge chip technology.
