Funds around four projects, each worth EUR 13 million, to use AI and self-driving labs to speed up the discovery of new chemicals and materials.
Proposals should help operationalise the EU Safe and Sustainable by Design framework and may feed relevant data into the Common Data Platform for Chemicals or cooperate with the EU Innovation and Substitution Hubs. The Commission wants digital tools — including AI, self-driving labs and design-of-experiment methods — that accelerate discovery, risk assessment and market entry for new chemicals and advanced materials.
