Physical and cognitive augmentation in advanced manufacturing is a European Commission Research and Innovation Action, funded under the co-programmed Made in Europe Partnership, that funds seven projects from a thirty-five million euro budget, each worth between four and six million euros, to develop wearable and cognitive augmentation technology that supports factory workers and makes manufacturi…
The call wants research into breakthrough augmentation technologies — perception, sensing, mechatronics, photonics and AI-based reasoning — that support and empower factory workers, reduce physical and psychological strain, and improve safety, inclusiveness and job attractiveness under the Industry 5.0 model. Proposals must assess manager and worker needs from the design phase onward and develop new assessment methodologies for these technologies.
