The Commission wants a physically demonstrated, cost-effective integration of renewable thermal, electrical or bioenergy sources into an industrial process, aiming to avoid or drastically cut fossil fuel use for heating, cooling or power. It wants proposals to survey the needs of similar factories across the EU and Associated Countries so the solution can be replicated in the same industrial sector elsewhere.
