This EIC Advanced Innovation Challenge backs New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) that replace, reduce or refine animal testing in biomedicine — human organoids, organ-on-chip systems, in chemico methods, digital twins, virtual patient simulations, AI-enhanced predictive models and advanced 3D tissue models. Proposals must address preclinical biomedical research and/or testing medicinal products and medical technologies for safety, efficacy or quality.
