Translating Disruptive New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) into Practice

Pays biomedical New Approach Methodology developers a fixed EUR 300,000 lump-sum grant to validate animal-free testing methods and prepare them for regulatory use.

The project runs in two stages: Stage 1 validates a TRL 4+ NAM through feasibility experiments, benchmarking and regulatory/industry engagement, ending with evidence the method is viable and a commitment from an industrial end-user or regulator; Stage 2 (contingent on Stage 1 milestones and a full follow-on proposal) develops a scalable prototype toward TRL 6, benchmarks it against animal models o
