This call targets medical conditions that are widespread yet frequently misdiagnosed or under-treated, including myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, autism, gynaecological diseases and low back pain. It funds teams that pin down the biological mechanisms behind one of these conditions and build the clinical evidence base. Rare diseases and conditions already covered by an earlier 2024 topic are out of scope.
