Funds proof-of-concept work on deep tech solutions relevant to the EU Missions, taking technologies up to TRL 7 while testing procurement and financing models that create lead markets for them.
This is a single-stage Horizon Europe Innovation Action funding 2 grants from an EUR 8 million budget at EUR 4 million EU contribution each. The European Commission wants proposals that push deep tech solutions relevant to any of the five EU Missions towards market entry, developing proof-of-concept work for technologies up to TRL 7. Proposals should test models that mobilise public and private stakeholders to create demand for these emerging solutions, and experiment with innovative procurement and financing mechanisms such as procurement of innovation or competitive dialogue. Projects should ideally cover several Missions rather than just one, and preference goes to proposals that do.
