Funds soil-health living labs that bring farmers, researchers and local actors together to co-develop solutions in the Continental, Black Sea, Pannonian or Steppic biogeographical regions.
This is a two-stage call: a first stage open to all applicants, and a second stage for those shortlisted, with a combined overall pass threshold of 12 and a required minimum of 4 specifically on the Excellence criterion. This topic funds the set-up of four to five long-term soil-health 'living labs' — real-life collaborations between researchers, land managers, industry and civil society — focused on the Continental biogeographical region or on the Black Sea, Pannonian and Steppic regions together. Living labs must span at least three Member States or Associated Countries, establish a baseline of soil conditions, and identify high-performing sites that could become 'lighthouse' demonstration sites.
