The European Commission wants a network of excellent European research labs, at least half with a proven track record in applying AI to scientific research, to collaborate on strategic challenges in a chosen thematic area — this call's proposed field is AI in materials science. The network must draw up a strategic research agenda, share data, models and infrastructure across the network, run talent-exchange schemes like joint fellowships and mobility, and develop community-driven datasets, models, standards and benchmarks.
