Implementing co-funded action plans for connected regional innovation valleys in widening countries
Pays coalitions of regional governments to run cross-border innovation programmes that cascade EUR 600,000 grants to real technology projects.
The public-authority coalition applying here needs at least three national or regional authorities from three different countries -- specifically two from a Widening country and one from a non-Widening country -- with at least one from a 'moderate or emerging' innovator region and one from a 'strong or innovation leader' region; the coordinator itself must be established in a Widening country. Winβ¦
This call funds coalitions of at least three national or regional public authorities, spanning both Widening and non-Widening countries and both stronger and weaker innovation regions, to run a joint multi-year innovation programme in a chosen deep-tech or technology area tied to their smart specialisation strategies. It wants the coalition to run competitive open calls that fund at least three interregional innovation projects at TRL 6-8, close to market, including breakthrough and disruptive technologies, plus capacity-building, market access support and links to private investors and buyers. Areas of interest span hydrogen, renewable energy, biotech, circularity, digital transformation, cybersecurity and AI.
