Funds consortia running youth science-engagement programmes or researcher-public dialogue events under one of two chosen tracks to boost trust in science.
Projects are expected to run for up to three years, though a longer duration is allowed where justified. Award decisions aren't purely about individual ranking: to keep a balanced portfolio across both areas, the Commission funds proposals in ranking order but guarantees funding to at least the top-ranked proposal within each area, as long as it clears every threshold. This topic funds consortia that pick one of two tracks: Area 1, engaging young people in participatory science activities and co-developing guidelines for youth engagement; or Area 2, scaling up researcher-to-public dialogue through online platforms that arrange visits between researchers and civil-society groups, workplaces or community centres. Both tracks aim to boost trust in science and align research with society's needs.
