Assistance to Viable and Potentially Viable PWCS

Gives viable West Bengal weaver cooperatives a one-time grant of up to ₹10 lakh.

The Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise and Textiles Department launched this sub-scheme on 7 March 2024 under the wider West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2024, and it is set to run for five years. It pays a one-time grant of between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, with the amount set by how much activity the Primary Weavers Cooperative Society or Khadi Society actually carrie

This sub-scheme funds Primary Weavers' Cooperative Societies (PWCS) and Khadi Societies in West Bengal, as well as individual entrepreneur/master weavers and allied handloom workers, that a state-level committee assesses as viable or potentially viable.
