Gujarat Rajya Khadi Gramodyog Board, Industries & Mines Department, Government of Gujarat

Vishesh Katan, Vankari & Vanat Sahay (Spinning & Weaving Assistance Scheme)

Pays Gujarat's Khadi spinners and weavers a per-unit top-up on their central assistance.

Registered producers earn a set amount for every hank of yarn spun or square metre of Khadi woven, plus a flat equipment allowance per square metre for weavers, calculated from the production records they file. Applicants register and apply through Gujarat's eKutir portal, and payments are made by direct benefit transfer once output is verified.

The board tops up federal Khadi support for spinners producing yarn and weavers producing cloth in Gujarat, on top of whatever central government assistance they already receive. Women spinners and Scheduled Tribe spinners both earn an enhanced ₹1.5 per hank, against ₹1 per hank for General and Scheduled Caste spinners; for weaving, only the Scheduled Tribe rate is enhanced (₹4 per square metre against ₹3 for General and Scheduled Caste), and all weavers additionally receive a flat ₹1 per square metre equipment aid regardless of category.
