Gujarat Textile Policy: Assistance to SHG for Job Work

Pays Gujarat self-help groups a monthly stipend for women doing textile job work.

Money moves through two routes here. Training assistance pays five thousand rupees per member per month for three months directly to support skills-building, and payroll assistance separately reimburses twenty-five per cent of job-work turnover, capped at five thousand rupees per member per month, for up to five years -- but only once the contracting industrial unit has itself already paid five th

The scheme targets registered Self-Help Groups (SHGs) with at least 25 female members that do job work — contracted production work — for textile industrial units in Gujarat. It excludes SHGs that manufacture independently rather than working under contract for an industrial unit.
