Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (TANSIM), Government of Tamil Nadu

Gramam Thorum Puthozhil (GTP)

Pays a INR 1 lakh equity-free seed grant to rural entrepreneurs across 100 Tamil Nadu villages.

GTP exists to feed startups into larger state and national schemes: one of its stated objectives is strengthening startup readiness for TANSEED, IVP and other government programmes, not just building standalone village businesses. Ten Regional Hubs each cover ten of the 100 selected villages, and the programme also aims to turn local Gram Panchayats into focal points for innovation-led growth rath

The scheme targets grassroots innovators and first-time entrepreneurs in 100 selected villages across Tamil Nadu, chosen for backwardness, potential and diversity, and it puts extra focus on reaching women, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities, people with disabilities, and young people. It is not restricted to any one industry, aiming instead to build rural startups that solve village-level problems and create local employment.
