K-Startup Grand Challenge (KSGC)

Runs a nine-month, government-backed accelerator that helps foreign-founded startups enter and scale in Korea, with prize money for the top 20 teams and further commercialisation grants for the top 8.

KSGC runs as three progressively selective phases: a remote Discover phase validates product-market fit and covers Korean business culture, an Accelerate phase adds legal, tax, accounting, HR and recruitment support plus a pitch opportunity at COMEUP, and a final Scale phase requires incorporating a Korean legal entity and hiring locally in exchange for investor connections and hiring support. KSGC recruits growth-stage startups from outside Korea across mechanical and materials engineering, electronics and semiconductors, software and AI, chemicals and textiles, bio and medical technology, energy, and craft and design, provided they are ready to enter the Korean market. Applicants need an MVP, real traction, or validated technology, and a team able to move quickly once admitted.
