The LIFE Clean Energy Transition programme wants projects that help European industry decarbonise and cut energy costs, either by standardising a proven clean-energy technology for a specific industrial sector (Scope A), or by setting up energy-cooperation schemes between companies that sit close together, including ports and industrial clusters (Scope B). Scope A pairs industrial users with technology manufacturers to turn custom, one-off installations into streamlined, market-ready solutions using already-commercial technology (Technology Readiness Level 8-9) — the topic doesn't fund demonstrating new technology. Scope B is about sharing energy assets, storage, waste heat or flexible demand between neighbouring industrial sites, producing concrete investment plans endorsed by the companies, grid operators and authorities involved.
