The Commission wants a single facility that raises manufacturers', suppliers' and (online) retailers' awareness and understanding of EU ecodesign and energy-labelling requirements, with special attention to smaller suppliers and dealers outside trade associations. It expects the project to combine reactive help through a dedicated help-line with proactive outreach, guidance and promotion of the EPREL product registry across the whole of Europe, including importers bringing in goods from outside the EU.
